Lessons learnt from internet launches
The following is a list of lessons learnt during my Internet projects:
Never change the content few days before going live, worst if the content menu is different from the actual content
Ensure ports to search applications are open as this may not be evident when testing in the uat environment
Ensure the vendor or system integrator is well versed with the software
When there is a need to interface with another application, it is vital for the project teams to constantly work out the necessary interfacing task such as data migration, data population, data cleaning requirement.

Lesson learnt when deploying a new terms and condition check box for library ebooks
The following are some learning points:
- Need to perform a actual click through to actually see the effects, never underestimate the need for actual click through
- When deploying the dll, do note the access permission setting at the destination server location
- A normal Service request change will be sufficient.
